Brett
Ratner was born in Miami Florida in 1969, to a Jewish family. He attended High
School in Israel. He also directed many movies most notably the Rush Hour
series as well as X-Men The Last Stand and Money Talks. He also produced many
movies such as the Revenant and Horrible Bosses 1&2.
He has done music videos for a wide variety of artists from
RUN-DMC and Cannibal Corpse to Mariah Carey for whom he has made a large amount
of videos.
In his videos he tends to have a big production values with
many dancers and extras. The setting is usually quite distinctive such as a
school or a wild west town. He also has a lot of choreographed dancing in his
videos especially during the chorus of the songs. The costume and props are
also usually very bright and stylised.
